This customer ordered a Queen Bed, (2) Nightstands with Doors, 7 Drawer Dresser, Mirror & a custom trunk from the Black Mountain Bedroom Collection. We shipped it directly from the manufacturer, Montana Lodge, in Utah to Calgary, AB. With our Eureka showroom being just 7 miles from the Roosville Port on the British Columbia, we ship on a regular basis & sometimes even deliver to Canada. Another less expensive option is having it shipped to our store & arrange for a pickup which takes away the additional shipping costs.

Mica Los Feliz Griffith Wall Pendant – Customer Review

This customer ordered the Los Feliz Griffith Wall Pendant from the Mica Lamp Company. The Los Feliz Collection may be more popularly known as Tudor or Spanish Revival type of lighting.

The Mica Lamp Company has several unique collections:  The Vintage Black Iron (Los Feliz), Storybook, Coppersmith, & Iron Abbey, just to name a few.

Looking at each collection, you can choose from three different shade options, orange mica, almond mica, or frosted glass. These lights are not necessarily meant to be the main light in a room, but more of an accent light to give a warm glow.

The Storybook Collection is straight from a castle movie scene. I’m thinking of Gargamel’s castle from the recently redone Smurfs movie. I remember waking up on Saturday morning to watch the 90 minute marathon of Smurfs. The Jester 4 Lantern Chandelier, available in 2 sizes,  would be a perfect fit for Gargamel’s main entrance.

OH Bachelor Chests Review

The Old Hickory bachelor chests that we ordered last month were
delivered on Tuesday just as we had asked based on our Monday return
to Big Sky. And, they came precisely at 9:30 am just as the trucking
company said they would. This is at least the second time that we have
purchased items from  you and if the need arises we will not hesitate
to call you again.

 This was from a repeat customer that ordered 2 Old Hickory Bachelor’s Chests with Puritan Finish on Regular Bark with a Pine Veneer Top. In the past 6 years, he has purchased 5 total Old Hickory items from us. In 2006, he bought the Old Hickory Television Stand with an oak veneer top with rustic finish on regular bark. Then in 2008, he ordered the Big Country End Table & Sofa Table that were retired a few years ago, so they could introduce a slightly improved model, in my opinion. The new version is the North Country End Table, North Country Sofa Table, & North Country Cocktail Table. And, finally, in 2009, he purchased the Old Faithful Writing Desk, also manufactured by Old Hickory Furniture.

Each Old Hickory piece has a number of options. You choose the bark texture first. The regular bark texture, which gives that really rustic feel with the bark left intact. Or, for that smooth texture, the tahoe bark is sanded to show the true beauty of the underlying hickory.  Next choice in line would be the finish options: On the regular bark, you choose from the rustic, puritan, & centennial finishes; On the tahoe bark, you can pick puritan or rustic finishes. Finally, for casegoods & tables, there are a number of options for the top wood species: For a standard veneer option, you choose pine, oak, or cherry, or for an additional upgrade, you can order your piece in solid wood species: pine, solid oak, solid cherry, aged barnwood, live edge walnut, or copper.

Patch Quilts

Patch Quilts has many beautiful quilt sets. They are made in India, but distributed from their warehouse in Texas. Each bed set in a King or Queen size includes the quilt, dust ruffle, two shams, two euroshams, & two toss pillows. When ordering a twin set, you receive the quilt, dust ruffle, & one of each of the pillows.

The Bear Country Quilt Set has that genuine rustic motif that is a perfect match for our website. It shows Black Bear as you would see them in Montana forests where our showroom is nestled. I also like the paw prints at the end of each quilt. The Bear Paw Quilt Set is a nice alternative if you need an extra splash of color in your bedroom.

For the lover of wild wolves, you might want to check out the Call of the Wild Quilt Set, complete with a wildlife motif showing a wolf’s natural surroundings. Another option for the nature lover in all of us would be the Mallard Bed Set. It reminds me of the many late summer evenings by the lake watching the ducks resting on the water.

With another wildlife motif, the Moose Quilt Set is always a hit as well. The moose is the center with patchwork leaves to border your mattress, sure to be a great accent piece to any bedroom whether its in your own home or your little cabin, your home away from home.

And, to save the best for last, I love the Pinecone Quilt Set. With an assortment of tan, light brown, and dark brown shades, & a splash of gray & green, it could be the centerpoint of the room. Of course, I am a Montana girl who loves to be surrounded by pine trees. I think I might have just found my next bedding purchase.

New Fireside Lodge Products Added

I spent the last couple weeks adding some new Fireside Lodge products to our site. We have added many more Barnwood pieces to our selection. Take a look!

My favorite is the Faux Copper Inset Bed. Besides the standard bed, you can put the Faux Copper Inset in the Platform Bed as well if you prefer a bed without the footboard getting in the way. If you are in need of some extra closet space, you might also be interested in the Barnwood Three Drawer Armoire or Two Drawer Wardrobe.

Montana Lodge

Montana Lodge builds beautiful furniture in their shop & warehouse in Utah. I took my family on a vacation this summer to visit my husband’s grandparents in Northern California and on the way home to Montana, we decided to stop in for a grand tour. Although I would recommend investing in a road map if you plan to visit Provo, it was worth the stop.

We carry the Black Mountain Bedroom Collection in our showroom & have had many customers comment on how sturdy they find the bed. Besides the Black Mountain bed, take a look at the beautiful Black Mountain Dresser & Mirror. It will give you that rustic look in your bedroom.

The Alpine Heirloom Bed is another expectional piece. We have a customer in Alaska that ordered it for his cabin & said it just made the room look so spectacular. Cambria Bed – Eastern Rustic Review

 This customer purchased a beautiful Queen Cambria bed from our Eastern Rustic line of imported furniture.

 Eastern Rustic furniture is made using Kikor, Sheesham and Acacia hardwoods in addition to reclaimed wood. LodgeCraft offers a sampling of various lines of Eastern Rustic furniture and has access to the entire product line. LodgeCraft also offers the Sierra, Montecito, Carmel and Florence Collections. Each of their furniture collections are considered wonderful quality, but are also sold at an exceptional value.

Eastern Rustic furniture is handmade and cracks within the wood, knots, indentations and other superficial imperfections, along with filled nail holes add to the rustic charm. Since the wood is kiln-dried, in certain climates it may naturally expand or contract and may develop slight openings and cracks. This will not compromise its structural integrity. Pieces within the same collection, will have a consistent overall tone, but there will be some variances in the finishes and the manufacturer cannot guarantee exact matching to pictures or to other pieces.
